Codicology Workshop

The workshop will be led by Prof. Dr. Jan Just Witkam, Professor of Paleography and Codicology of the Islamic World at Leiden University and will be based on Prof. François Déroche's book, Manuel de codicologie des manuscrits en écriture arabe, which has been translated into English and Arabic.
As this workshop will include examination and discussion of manuscripts held by the University of Cambridge and college libraries, the number of participants is strictly limited. Places will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. Priority will be given to TIMA members.

Travel Information
Participants are responsible for their travel to and from Cambridge. The workshop venue is Cambridge University Library and Cripps Court, Magdalene College, University of Cambridge, Chesterton Lane, Cambridge.
Workshop Fees and Payment
Registration fees are payable by all participants and must be received by TIMA in order for an individual to participate.
They may be paid by a sterling cheque made payable to “The Islamic Manuscript Association” or by fund transfer. Please contact Ms. Alethea Conceicao by email (secretary@cmeis.cam.ac.uk ) for TIMA's bank details.
The registration fee must be paid in order for us to guarantee you a place on the course.
Payment for your accommodation must be received by TIMA for us to confirm your booking.
