- Have worked extensively on Islamic scientific manuscripts in Arabic and Persian; major relevant publications include the edition and translation of Tusi's Tadhkira fi 'ilm al-Hay'a (1993) and a study of Damascus manuscript Zahiriyya 4871 (1981). I am also directing the Islamic Scientific Manuscript Initiative (ISMI) that aims to be an online database of all Islamic manuscripts in the exact sciences.
