Pembroke College, Cambridge and the Thesaurus Islamicus Foundation have launched a Summer Visiting Scholarship tenable at Pembroke College. The Scholarship is aimed at rising and established scholars of Islamic studies with particular interests in Islamic manuscripts or art.

The Visiting Scholar, who is expected to arrive in Cambridge to attend the Association’s annual Islamic Manuscript Conference and annual codicology workshop, will be provided with ten weeks’ accommodation, use of a study in College and a Fellow’s social rights and privileges, including seven meals per week at High Table at Pembroke College, and full access to Cambridge’s excellent library and computing resources, as well as benefiting from contact with Cambridge’s community of scholars of Islamic literature, history and culture. The cost of international economy travel to and from Cambridge is also covered by the scholarship.

Though the Scholarship is not currently running, informal inquiries may be addressed to the Association at admin@islamicmanuscript.org.
