Application Requirements

Below is the list of the documents you will need to prepare or arrange for submission:

1. Completed online Application Form (see notes below)

2. Full curriculum vitae or resumé, including a list of publications, if any.

3. Statement of purpose (max. 1,000 words)

3.1.    In the Statement of purpose, please describe how the course is relevant to your teaching, research, or professional work, and in what way you expect to benefit from it. If you are working on a concrete project (senior thesis, Ph.D., postdoctoral project, etc.), please outline key lines of inquiry and specify the types of sources you are working with as well as the major challenges you have faced in working with manuscripts.

3.2.    The Statement of purpose should also indicate the most relevant courses in the field you have taken previously and specify the level of your research experience and proficiency in relevant languages.

3.3.    Please also provide the name and contact email of a person (a faculty member, job supervisor, etc.) who can be contacted by the course directors to attest to your abilities, qualifications, and academic/professional performance. 

4. Grant

Those who are eligible and wish to apply for a Grant should specify their reasons in the Personal statement (Attendance Grants section of the application form). 

All documents should be merged into a single PDF file not exceeding 2 MB in size. No passwords and encryption are allowed.
